Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of StencilID (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

StencilID is an online tool for designing and generating ID cards, badges, certificates and similar documents, including bulk generation from spreadsheet data. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use the Service.

3. Plans, billing & refunds

• The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid features (such as bulk generation limits) are described at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are processed by our payment provider. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Your content

• You retain ownership of the designs, data and files you create or upload (“Your Content”).
• You grant us a limited licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g. rendering, generating files, delivering downloads).
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any data, images, logos and personal information you upload, including the right to create ID documents containing other people’s details, and for complying with applicable data-protection laws.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create fraudulent, counterfeit or deceptive identification, or impersonate any person, organisation or government body.
• Produce documents intended to unlawfully gain access, evade security, or misrepresent identity or authority.
• Upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or violate anyone’s privacy or rights.
• Abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

The Service is intended for legitimate uses such as staff/student IDs, event badges and certificates. You are solely responsible for how you use documents you create. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, templates and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. Built-in templates are provided for use within the Service; you may not redistribute the Service or its templates as your own product.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that printed output will meet the requirements of any specific printer, issuer or authority.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your content may be deleted.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
